Analyzing differences among Acetal Copolymer and Dupont Delrin in Round rods or sheets and plate

Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a lathe lathe. It is very easy to turn, but it does require slow speeds. I have used this plastic to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have ordered countless items from a plastic shop in Anaheim. Smaller pieces always ship quickly and everything was well packed. I have never had an issue with an order.
Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are quite durable and easily machinable, and they have very similar physical properties. They look the same, but for practical use there are a few differences that may make one better than the other. It also depends on your application. As with all plastic materials, be sure to check the typical properties data sheet for the desired properties you may need for your application.
Our Acetal Sheet is probably our choice material for machining,as it gives an excellent finish both on manual and CNC Machines. Its got a very low moisture absorption making it the ideal grade for food contact and where the dimensional stability is critical. Acetal Sheet has the best combination of high mechanical strength, hardness and toughness, giving it excellent sliding properties, electrical insulation, and wear resistance.
Acetal Sheet has numerous uses and is especially valued in the food preparation industry. Because of its low moisture absorption it helped it to achieve Food & Drug Administration approval along with its excellent sliding abilities which help with very low friction and hard wearing food safe components.
Acetal Sheet is one of the engineering plastics used within the automotive industry because of its long term dimensional stability and durability. It provides solutions for designers to help them produce long lasting and very durable components. Another popular area for Tecaform AH is in marine applications. This environment suits acetal quite because the low moisture absorption results in components that will not expand or change dimensions due to contact with water.
